Vitamin C Treatments

Indy is doing well post-opt! If you didn't know any better you would think nothing was wrong, but then we've been told that's how this would go.

He's on day 6 of Neoplasene and so far so good. He's LOVING his home cooked diet, as are the other two spoiled 'children.' No problems with vomiting and no issues eating. We're lucky so far, but the dose will be going up soon so keep the prayers coming!

He also had his first round of intravenous Vitamin C treatments today. He'll have two more this week. The staff at Animal Wellness have made a good impression on him. He was eager and happy to get out of the car and go inside. I can't tell you the last time that's happened at a vet appointment.

He has to stay all day to have this treatment. When I picked him back up this afternoon he was bright-eyed and bushy tailed. We're trying to really appreciate these good days. We hope they'll continue, but we're well aware of the odds.

They ran all the tests today and looked at his blood counts. Anemia is common with Neoplasene treatments so we want to stay on top of it. Everything came back a O.K. We have a long way to go, but we're starting out strong!

My Puppa has stage 4 Oral Malignant Melanoma on the roof of his mouth and up into nasal cavity. Alternative vet mentioned Neo but I am worried the location would be too extreme as I have read can leave a pretty nasty hole. Any advise?
